Control 2009 - Bowers to Launch New Lever-Gauge for Use With XT Measuring Heads
In addition to displaying the company’s existing ranges of high-quality analogue and digital bore gauges, Bowers Metrology will have 2 exciting new products making their exhibition debuts at Control 2009. Designed for shop-floor use, Bowers’ robust new XT lever bore gauges have a simple ergonomic action and can be fitted with a wide variety of analogue and digital indicators or transducer probes.
The new range of accurate XT lever bore gauges boast hardwearing extended travel carbide measuring anvils and is able to measure diameters up to 300mm. Bowers is also able to manufacture affordable ‘one-off’ XT Lever instruments to cater for a wide range of other problematic, internal measuring applications, such as threads, grooves, splines, etc.
Bowers advanced new Intex range of shop-floor proof comparator gauges is ideal for the accurate in-process measurement of large internal and external diameters on components located within machine tools. Considerably reducing the potential for thermal expansion, gauge deflection and operator fatigue, the ingenious new Bowers range is based on a rigid, hollow aluminium extruded beam, rendering Intex gauges lighter, stronger and more accurate than traditional beam gauges.
Available in sizes from 200mm – 1000mm, with larger models available on application, the flexible Intex range is able to be fitted with a wide selection of contact points, enabling previously awkward features, such as grooves and undercuts, to be accessed with ease.
