3 AXES VOLUMETRIC MEASUREMENT

Entertainment UK (E.UK): Faced with the logistical problems inherent in supplying a wide range of entertainment products, in all shapes, sizes and weights to many well-known high street shops and other stores, Europe’s leading entertainment wholesaler, Entertainment UK (E.UK) recently turned to Bowers Metrology Systems for a bespoke solution to the efficient packaging and despatching of their large volumes of consumer goods.

Bowers imaginative answer to the efficient running of the E.UK despatch department was to construct a specially designed machine, which is capable of automatically performing 3 axes volumetric measurement on the product to be shipped, whilst simultaneously weighing the packages. The findings from the innovative new Bowers device are sent to a computer enabling the most appropriate packaging to be automatically selected, ensuring a more efficient use of transport and an improved service for E.UK’s many customers.
