RAPID, ACCURATE MEASUREMENT OF PRECISION MACHINED COMPONENTS

Brigel/Injecta of Switzerland: Amongst the many international projects undertaken by BMS was a recently completed order from Brigel/Injecta of Switzerland, for the design and manufacture of a high quality fixture to enable the rapid, accurate measurement of precision machined components.

The system automatically measures the height of seven machined pads and detects the presence of two drilled holes. All the readings are downloaded by RS232 to Injecta’s SPC software.

All of the technical and design implications were handled in the normal BMS way, whilst our vast experience in international export markets, allied to our range of in-house translation skills, enabled efficient communications between both parties.

At the time of going to press Injecta have just measured over 100,000 components and have reported they are delighted with the performance.
