The Automotive industry is one of the key markets for the Bowers Metrology Group, with solutions being supplied to this industry for more than 40 years. The core 3-point Bowers XT bore gauges are used within virtually all automotive plants worldwide, but many specials variants of these have also been produced for specific applications.
Leading special products include gauges for measuring components such as piston rings, brake calipers, crankshafts and bearings. Our specialised Systems Division has also developed solutions for the automatic measurement of gears and car body panel measurement.
